Quote of the day

"How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these."
-George Washington Carver

I love this quote. I found it on my teacher calendar. Something every teacher, but also every person has to remember.

(Whoops, sorry. The deleted comment is me.) What I was saying, though, is:

Hooray for George Washington Carver!

I think maybe this would be a good quote to use in a campaign to broaden his image:

"George Washington Carver: So Much More than the Guy Who Invented Peanut Butter."

Mmmm. Peanut Butter . . .
